Knowing that death is close at hand can take a huge emotional toll. Knowing that feelings are normal may help us to cope.
Self-centeredness is the root of birth, decay, and death.
We tend to view death as a failing of our bodies (or minds) when it is a natural part of living, returning, and renewing. Experiencing death is one of the few things all humans have in common, which makes it a thing that connects us to our humanity.
Surrender to the fear and pain and fall back into the healing water until that final wave washes you ashore.
